Meeting Title: Community Drop-In: Balancing Boating and Conservation

Meeting Description: The Natur am Byth Môr project is hosting a drop in session on Monday the 24th of August. Come along to find out how Advanced Mooring Systems (AMS or eco-moorings) are designed to keep mooring lines off the seabed, reducing damage to sensitive seabed habitats from chains.

Natur am Byth Môr has recently replaced 2 marker buoys in Pwllheli harbour with AMS. We are looking to explore the possibility of installing AMS in other suitable locations along the North Wales coast.

The session will include:
A technical overview of these mooring systems from contractors ABC Subsea
An ecological overview of the benefits to local seagrass meadows and other sensitive seabed habitats
A chance to ask questions and find out more about the project.
