Plas Heli RIBS
Plas Heli has a fleet of 13 (Rigid Inflatable Boat) RIBs in use for events and other duties.
The Plas Heli fleet of 13 (11 active and in service) RIBs, 2 Committee boats and support vessels are available for use during on water-based events, and for course laying.
All of our RIBs provided by Plas Heli for the purposes of an event will be insured for coaching, rescue, and as instructor boats, complying with the current RYA Guidelines, and will carry the essential equipment as listed in the RYA Training Checklist Documents see Instruction Document ...

Beach Mat

Beach Chair
Plas Heli is delighted to announce that there is now a new beach chair at the centre.
The Beach Chair was provided by the 'Wheely Pete Charity' and promoted by John Brynmor Hughes and Peter Read.
This is now in use by the School based at Caban Heli (old sailing club building) and is available for the community to use by ordering on-line.

Sports Boats - Ashore and Afloat
The New Crane in Use:
The development of 'Sports-Boat Racing' and 'Dry Berth Sailing' for Trailer Sailors in Pwllheli was always an aspiration for CHPSC and Plas Heli. A crane was included in the original plans for the facility in the early development and planning stages.
The crane, pontoons and storage ashore 'dry berth', now provide the perfect blend of facilities to accomplish this objective.
Plas Heli has now developed a Sports Boat - Trailer Sailor Package 'Dry Berth Contracts' with an Annual or Seasonal option.
The installation of the crane on 'Cei Yr Heli' (the quayside) in March 2023 was the last piece of the jigsaw to enable a Sports-Boat Class to thrive.

Sports Boats Trailer Sailor - Contract Options
The development of 'Sports-Boat Racing' and 'Dry Berth Sailing' for Trailer Sailors in Pwllheli was always an aspiration for Plas Heli, and a crane was included in the original plans for the facility in the early development and planning stages.
The proposed crane, pontoons and storage ashore 'dry berth' are a perfect combination for this objective.
We have developed a Sports Boat - Trailer Sailor Package 'Dry Berth Contracts' with an Annual or Seasonal option.
Annual Contract >
The Annual Contract is from 1st April to 31st March and will include the following:
- annual storage ashore on Cei Heli, or in the Main Compound, as directed by Plas Heli.
- unlimited launch and recovery with the Plas Heli Crane - subject to conditions*
- raft berh afloat on the Plas heli Pontoons as directed by Plas Heli
- use of the crane by a suitably qualified and authorised boat representative - subject to compliance with the Plas Heli Crane Use policy and terms and conditions*
Cost £1,600.00 includive of Vat. Electricity is extra. 10% Discount for CHP{SC Members.
Seasonal Contract >
The Seasonal Contract is from 1st April to 31st October and will include the following:
- Seasonal storage ashore on Cei Heli, or in the Main Compound, as directed by Plas Heli.
- unlimited launch and recovery with the Plas Heli Crane - subject to conditions*
- raft berh afloat on the Plas heli Pontoons as directed by Plas Heli.
- use of the crane by a suitably qualified and authorised boat representative - subject to compliance with the Plas Heli Crane Use policy and terms and conditions*
Cost £1,550.00 includive of Vat. Electricity is extra.
Please read and note that all berthing agreements are subject to these 'Terms and Conditions', 'Fair and Acceptable Use Policy' and the 'Data Protection Policy'
These berths are limited in number and will be allocated on a first come basis.
Please note, in particular, that you must have a minimum third party insurance of £3,000,000.
We also point out the following >
- The shore facilities in Plas Heli are only available during the usual opening hours.
- There are electric hook-up points on the Plas Heli pontoons and we have a with or without electricity charging rate or a new pay as you use system.
- The secure access gate is operated by entering a security number on the key pad entry system. Berth holders will be provided with the access code.
- All Plas Heli berth holders have free parking on Cei Yr Heli (the quayside) parking area and will be provided with the barrier access code.
- Customers can apply for a 'Boat Specific Code' which will open both the pontoon gate and the barrier (so only one code to remember).
- Please make sure the gate is locked at all times.
- All Plas Heli berth holders have free use of the Plas Heli showers and toilet facilities including the ‘Out of Hours’ toilets and shower facility at Plas Heli on payment of £10 deposit for the key. This facility is exclusive for Plas Heli Berth holders and Plas Heli motor home users.
- Berth holders should satisfy themselves that they have taken all reasonable precautions against theft or damage.
- Neither Plas Heli, Clwb Hwylio Pwllheli Sailing Club, Cyngor Gwynedd Council, Hafan Marina nor their staff, subcontractors, volunteers or agents are responsible for berth holders vessels in any way whatsoever while berthed on Plas Heli pontoons or stored ashore.
- Environmental Code of Conduct – all berth holders must comply with the Hafan’s Environmental Code of Conduct (see Hafan handbook).
