We host the ILCA (Laser) National Champs from 9th August to 15th and then the Techno Worlds from 16th to 23rd August.
It will be busy and we need to prepare for both events before 8th August (there is no gap between events).
This is a live document and will be updated as tasks are completed or when we spot another task that is required!
We had a site meeting with the Techno (Windsurfers) team last night, with scaffolders, to explore options for racking for about 270 windsurfers.
We concluded that the only location available for the racking system is along the east boundary fence from the Storfa (and new toilet shower container) southwards to the shipping containers next to the hub. We are mindful of the need to not imping on the space for the ILCA event with an expected 220 boats.
We are planning a work party for this Saturday morning, 19th July, to clear the area. This work will include:
* Moving the Plas Heli RIBS out into the central section of the main compound.
* Movie RYA CW boats and trailers into the central section of the main compound.
* Moving customer boats and trailers into the central section of the main compound.
* Scrapping the J24 - cutting up into sections and put in a skip! (The skip is booked to arrive Friday so need to move two boats to make room tonight)
* Moving the stored versa-dock units that are on pallets to another location.
* Smaller items to be scrapped into our trailer and taken to recycling centre
* Strimmers to cut back and make the area ready for scaffolding work.

Pre event tasks

* Organise / Publish Pontoon Plan - remember ISORA finish on Saturday 9th August.
* Set Boiler controls for Hot Water, and air handling for changing rooms etc
* Check batteries in all door locks
* lubricate all padlocks
* Perimeter Flags - moved to hall
* Fix flag pole in members carpark
* Blow sand from wash-down area - Iago
* Clean out silt traps in showers and wash-down areas
* Prepare office
* Prepare medical room and bench
* Prepare signing out/in board for beach showers with two sets of keys

* Message berth holders to keep Quayside clear for campers (NB Competitors to ISORA) ST
* Send out camping allocation plan document with information.
Thursday - 7th August or earlier
* Cones with pitch numbers for camping pitches M 01-18, South 1-7, QS 1-18 (32 cones)
* Half Rounds on Quayside to define camping areas QS 01-18
* Cones to define boat park area
* Safety Tubs and keys for RIBS in Room 2 - all RIBS
* Gardeners
* Fit hose pipes on taps in washdown area
Friday - 8th August
Gates:
* open pedestrian gate
* open emergency exit gate
* open gate next to training room and lock it in pedestrian mode
* set code for showers in Caban Heli
* put hot water boiler on for showers at Caban Heli
* open rear changing rooms
* Cover open drainage channel in back shower
* Open container shower/toilets and check toilet paper etc.
